Courtyard Ft. Lauderdale Hosts Interns
“The ideal intern is committed, creative, organized, ambitious, independent, and able to crack a smile, whether meeting a celebrity or folding socks.” – Emily Weiss
Thank you to Jibril, Ava, Jason, and Noah for being able to crack a smile this week while immersing in the Courtyard by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Downtown!
The hotel welcomed these four talented individuals this week from their respective universities: Florida State University and Lynn University. Over the course of the week, they performed SWOT analysis to help with the hotel’s Annual Business Plans, worked on A/C units in guest rooms with our engineers, and hustled in housekeeping. They maximized revenue with the director of sales and helped conduct a high-profile site visit for the CEO and COO of Spirit Airlines ensuring they are able to work through their widely reported acquisition by Frontier or JetBlue. The team ended the week providing exceptional guest service with the front desk associates.
We hope the intern team gained a better understanding of the hotel business and what it takes to keep the asset highly valuable, generate maximum revenue, and provide exceptional guest experiences!
Best wishes to each of you in your future career endeavors.
