Kristine Cox and the Playa Largo Resort Team partnered with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department to do a surprise donation to one of the local schools here in Key Largo, Ocean Studies Charter School.

One of the School Resource Officer, Deputy Lauren Landa, was trying to make sure no student goes without anything this year.

Principal Trisha Woods of the Ocean Studies Charter School was asked if she felt there was a family/certain children in need of supplies etc.

Ms. Woods advised unfortunately there are quite a few kids that won’t have lunch boxes, water bottles (water bottles are important as it is a sugar-free school, all children are asked to bring in a reusable bottle as that is their source of hydration and can be reused all year) along with towels and water shoes (for field labs.) In support, Playa Largo Donated, water bottles, lunch boxes, pairs of water shoes, and white towels.
