The Courtyard by Marriott Hershey Chocolate Avenue’s team headed by Food and Beverage Director, Emily Guise participated in the Hershey Partnership’s 16th Annual Soup Cook-Off. This is the second year the hotel has participated. 

The Soup Cook-Off is an annual fundraising event that benefits the Hershey Volunteer Fire Department.  The funds raised each year assist the department in purchasing new equipment so that they can continue to protect our community.

More than 25 cooks participated in either the professional or non-professional divisions

The Courtyard Hershey entered two soups this year under the professional category; South of the Border Street Corn Soup and an Italian Meatball Soup. South of the Border Street Corn Soup won 3rd place!!!  Judging was done by the public that attended as well as a few of the professional cooks. 

When it was all said and done, more than 300 people attended and the cook-off raised $5,000 this year.
