On Thursday, 3 October, The Shaner State College Team participated in Centre County’s United Way Day of Caring.  They teamed up with the Red Cross project and installed smoke alarms to make the communities of Unionville and Julian (plus the Valley Park and Martha Furnace Trailer Park) just that much safer! 

47 homes were made safer with a total of 85 alarms actually being installed.  Fortunately, the skies held long enough for them to accomplish this project without becoming drenched in the process!
