Fairfield Inn & Suites Harrisburg International Airport partners with Harrisburg International Airport for Earth Day 2018

 

Earth Day is dedicated to providing the information and inspiration needed to fundamentally change human attitude and behavior about plastics.  Earth Day was founded in 1970 as a day of education about environmental issues, and Earth Day 2018 occurred on Sunday, April 22. The holiday is now a global celebration that’s sometimes extended into Earth Week, a full seven days of events focused on green living.

 

This year the new Fairfield Inn & Suites Harrisburg International Airport partnered with the staff at the Harrisburg International Airport, and other airport tenants to sponsor a clean-up day on May 7, 2018. All of the participants were divided into two teams and spent the morning picking up trash and debris around the perimeter of the airport area and local neighborhood.

 

It was a great day, for a great cause, getting to know our local partners in the area. We concluded the day with a thank you lunch provided by the staff at the Harrisburg International Airport.
